Chandler K-12 students can receive backpacks filled with school supplies, shoes, uniforms, socks and underwear (as they last) in addition to information on free after school programs! Volunteers are needed to help stuff backpacks at the Salvation Army. Groups of approx. 10 volunteers will pack the backpacks with donated supplies according to grade level and organize the donations. We will also be moving heavy boxes full of stuffed backpacks.
There are multiple dates available.
Our community resource bags provide valuable resources to families who may need help with more than just a backpack this school year. These bags will have flyers, brochures, and other information on youth programs, food boxes, rental assistance and more! Help us put together 1,000 of these bags to offer as a resource to families.
