For Our City - Chandler has impacted the lives of many. Our community-driven projects have been created and developed by community members, business leaders, and non-profits who participate in For Our City - Chandler Host Committee Meetings and Networking Breakfasts.

The biggest back-to-school collaborative donation drive for Chandler students in need. Chandler K-12 students can receive backpacks (filled with school supplies), shoes, uniforms, socks and underwear in addition to information on free after school programs! Hundreds of residents gather together on National Make a Difference day, we call it For Our City Day, to assist with neighborhood projects in the community. Previous projects at Chandler Municipal Airport, Historic South Chandler and landscape improvements in a downtown Chandler neighborhoods.
For Our City-Chandler partners with the City of Chandler and other non-profits to assist seniors through the Golden Neighbors program. Golden Neighbors provides household and hygiene essentials, cost-of-living assistance, coordination of transportation services, and resources for home repairs.
Initiated in 2010, the Let's Pull Together program asks residents to let us know if they have a neighbor who may need help with yard maintenance due to disability, age, or other circumstances. Groups of volunteers are then organized to give the neighbor in need a helping hand by taking care of their yard.
Chandler nonprofit organizations that conduct food & gift drives during the holiday season began collaborating on their individual drives in order to fully utilize resources, reduce duplication efforts and expand the reach of those we all could help.
I-HELP is a program based upon faith organizations opening their facilities one night a week/or month to provide a safe place to sleep for homeless individuals. AZCEND oversees the I-HELP program that offers dinner, a shower, a comfortable night’s sleep and breakfast for each client, 7 days a week.

For Our City Chandler helps those in need during the intense Arizona summers by collecting water bottles, sun screen and other sun protection. We also collaborate with local nonprofits and faith based organizations to provide an air conditioned place for people to cool off in the summer. In the future we hope to expand this program to include assistance with electric bills, and minor A/C repairs during extreme heat situations. A Human Services Needs Assessment for Chandler was recently conducted in 2019. The assessment examines current human services needs of Chandler’s low and moderate income, elderly, youth, homeless, and other populations.
