COVID-19 Non-profit Updates for Those in Need of Assistance

During this unprecedented time of increased public safety through social distancing and self-quarantine, nonprofits in Chandler are quickly establishing new procedures and protocols.


Although we have many nonprofits in Chandler, this page will focus on those who serve populations  most affected by COVID-19.

 Starting on Monday 3/30 - staff will only be distributing on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Monday’s distribution will contain meals for Monday and Tuesday.  Wednesday’s distribution will contain meals for Wednesday and Thursday. Friday’s distribution will contain meals for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

  • FREE meals for ANY CHILD 18 & under
  • No paperwork required
  • Children must be present
  • Meals are served Grab N’ Go style
  • Meals should be consumed offsite
  • Adult meals will not be available

Bashas, Food City, and AJ's Fine Foods

Grocery stores will open on Wednesdays from 5 a.m. - 6 a.m. for anyone aged 65 and older. Shoppers will be required to show a valid government I.D. at the door, a news release said. If there is a need for a caretaker, one caretaker is allowed in the store to shop for the person he or she is taking care of, but not for themselves. All product limitations remain in effect.

Chandler CARE Center

The following services are being offered remotely:

The Immunization Clinic hosted by Chandler Regional Medical Center is closed. If you have questions, please call the immunization clinic's hotline at 602-728-2004 (Spanish: 602-728-3777).

Home Delivered Meals

Clients will not be required to sign until further notice.

Frozen meals will be offered for weekends.


Community Action Program

Rent appointments will be screened by phone.

SRP and Chandler have suspended shutoffs for utilities.


Family Resource Center

Services are suspended until further notice.

FANS Across America

Locker Room

Not accepting new client referrals (except for DV or public safety referrals)

Children and family members will not be allowed to come into the locker room

Not accepting new donations for the time being 

Senior Center

The Senior Center will close to the public starting Saturday, March 21 and remain closed through May, but will continue to provide carry out or delivery of hot meals to senior residents who depend on this service. These closures will be reevaluated later this month and may be extended. 

Salvation Army

After School Program and Corp (church) programs: troops, Bible Study, men’s fellowship, etc; have been suspended until further notice. We will be either live streaming or pre-recording our church services.
