Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program (I-HELP)

I-HELP provides over 6,700 emergency shelter nights to homeless adults and a case management program successfully supporting nearly 50% of clients to employment and over 30% to housing. I-HELP assists homeless in acquiring job placement, emergency shelter and a place to call home. The program also offers case management services to connect homeless individuals to resources needed to regain stability and break the cycle of homelessness. I-HELP provides a safe place to sleep and a hot meal for homeless adults every night of the week. The mobile shower unit, the “Chandler Clean Machine,” provides guests with ready access to a warm shower. 

Hundreds of volunteers contribute more than 14,000 volunteer hours a year to the program. 

Shuttle Bus Driver

Drive clients to and from host site locations during morning and/or evening hours, 6:00 am to 10:00 am and 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Monday through Saturday. Must possess a valid driver’s license. 

Intake Host

Assist with the sign up of new and existing clients at the Intake Host Site. Provide water and make conversation with clients. Enter client data into the I-HELP database. Hours are 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, daily.

Meal Provider

Bring a meal for approximately 25 I-HELP clients and help serve at the shelter location.
